Josh sent me a link to site called the Black Cab Sessions and I have been perusing their videos ever since. I’m convinced he simply browses the web for interesting things to send to me over Gchat. He’s convinced that I am upset that despite all my efforts, he refuses to finish the critically acclaimed television series Arrested Development.
My favorites so far have been Spoon and Death Cab for Cutie. My Morning Jacket was good too. I’ve been trying to learn I Summon you by Spoon and it was cool to see him perform in the back of a cab.
Here is how I think the idea came to be for the idea of the session:
“man i’m hungover. lets drive to the store and get some pedialite. grab my cd spindel for the ride. wait better idea, i’ll bring my guitar, and play along the way. stop. why don’t we take a taxi. enhance. why don’t i play my guitar in the taxi cab. stop. why don’t we get bands to play acoustic in the back of cabs while we drive to the store to get our pedialite.”
Sometimes I play guitar when I go poop.
